Tyson Foods Publicly Reveals COVID-19 Employee Test Results
(UnitedVoice.com) – Tyson Foods, Inc., conducted a facility-wide COVID-19 test at one of its plants located in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The publicly-released results were shocking, to say the least.
In a press release, Tyson revealed 570 of the 2,244 workers tested were positive for the virus. Yet, many showed no signs of infection. Those who tested positive were given paid leave with instructions not to return to work until CDC requirements were met.
In recent weeks, the company was forced to close many of its facilities across the country, warning though the move was necessary to ensure the health and safety of its employees, it could cause a shortage of food supplies.
Tyson Foods said that by revealing the information about its employees, it hoped to help the community of Wilkesboro stop the spread of COVID-19.
