Trump Speaks Out In Favor of History

Trump Speaks Out In Favor of History

(UnitedVoice.com) – In the midst of ongoing protests, acts of arson and looting have turned to defacing government buildings and historical monuments.

This includes historical statues such as Christopher Columbus and General Robert E. Lee. But while some are calling to get rid of these iconographic examples of our past, President Trump firmly disagrees.

Here’s what he had to say about it on June 16:

Just a few days prior, on June 11th, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) also spoke on the same issue. She told the press to consider that the statues were largely dedicated to people who have committed treason.

The Speaker of the House then followed up by suggesting that, “The American people know, these names have to go.”

You can see Pelosi’s full statement here:

Maybe it’s as the old saying goes: “If we do not learn from history we are doomed to repeat it.” Left-leaning leaders, including Pelosi and Joe Biden, seem tunnel-visioned on public opinion and their interpretation of it.

But is this really helpful, or are they just leading the charge by supporting mob mentality and empowering criminal behavior?
