Child Protective Services Visits Home of Salon Owner Who Defiantly Reopened
(UnitedVoice.com) – We’ve all heard the stories of authorities overstepping their power during this lockdown. Now, a Salem, Oregon salon owner is saying Gov. Kate Brown has gone too far. In a recent interview, Lindsey Graham of Glamour Salon said Brown is doing everything in her power to shut her down. She even claims the governor had Child Protective Services (CPS) visit her home.
Last Friday, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued the salon owner a $14,000 citation for ignoring Brown’s stay-at-home order. Graham said the people who work at her salon are considered to be “independent contractors,” but OSHA deemed them to be “employees” and cited her as an “employer.”

When the press asked for a comment about the matter, the Oregon Department of Human Services said it couldn’t comment due to confidentiality laws. They also reiterated the stay-at-home order saves lives and not following it isn’t a reason they’d assign a CPS assessment.
Graham said she’s worked 15 years in the salon industry and vowed to continue to stay open as long as she could — or until Gov. Brown takes her entire career and business away from her.
