It is hard to imagine, President Trump was a registered Democrat and ran in the primary as a Democrat. We can only guess he saw the light, like the old Gospel song, says. When Donald Trump joined the Republican Party and entered as a presidential candidate, those leaders within the GOP scoffed at him in 2015. They pushed so that he would not become the Republican candidate and now look at him go! He is the President of the United States of America for the last three years. Now, we see today, those same GOP top dogs are his closest friends and allies.
With an acquittal vote expected since last week, the Republicans support President Trump more than any other Republican president in the history of the US. Not only was he acquitted, but he will also be the very first president to be impeached by the house, acquitted by the Senate, and run for re-election.
Not only that, it is a high possibility, Trump will win in a landslide victory. This is according to election experts. This is what Democrats fear the most, and we believe it is going to happen.
A Republican pollster, Neil Newhouse, stated about the president, “He has taken over the party in very short order. It was almost immediate after he won the election. He’s a force of nature among Republicans. He believes if the Senate had thrown Trump under the bus, there would have been “a revolt.”
Even the GOP members who disapprove of the phone conversation between Trump and Zelensky back him with overwhelming support. No one believes this was an impeachable offense.
Senator Marco Rubio stated, “Just because actions meet a standard of impeachment does not mean it is in the best interest of the country to remove a president from office.”
Every Republican except for Mitt Romney, who is still bitter about losing his spot to Trump feels since the beginning, Inauguration Day, the Democrats have wanted Trump gone. Everything was a partisan agreement to get Trump out at all costs. These are evil people!
So what makes Trump Different from his GOP predecessors? Well, he keeps everyone in a single file line. Twitter lights up when a GOP member steps over the boundaries.
Trump demands respect, and it is that demand that makes him authentic. It is the businessman within him that rises above the occasion, and we see this every day. That is why his party respects him. No one else could go through all the demise and hatred the Democrats have put not only him but his family too.
Senator Mitch McConnell went on Fox News recently and discussed these very issues. Senator Lindsey Graham was one of the Senators who could not stand Trump. In fact, he called him a “race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot who doesn’t represent my party.” Now, this is Trump’s closest ally.
Some Republicans do not feel that any of the issues which happened over the last three years and the impeachment “witch hunt” will not affect the numbers in the polls.
Republican Representative Mark Meadows had this to say, “We’ve gotten to a point where presidential elections are decided by very small percentage points. If you look at where everybody is on this issue, it’s pretty much where we were in 2016. I don’t know that that’s going to change greatly.”
The thing is, it has changed a great deal. There were smaller numbers in both the House and the Senate who liked or supported Trump within his own party. Now there are the highest supporting numbers in history for any sitting president.
We had come a long way, and back when President Trump was calling for the Democrats to impeach him, he knew they had nothing, and it would soar his ratings. At the beginning of this week, the Independent Party supports President Trump, a Republican president, more than any other president, and any other party.
So what changed? To sum everything up, it is respect. The respect that President Trump has earned across the country. The economy is the best in history and soared higher than ever within the three short years. This is the truth people see, and no one can change that through their profound hatred.
The impeachment acquittal, the State of the Union, and the economy is the reason he has risen in the approval polls to 49 percent. The more the Democrats hate him, the higher his ratings go.
