A few decades ago, there was a short cartoon on television which was featured by Warner Brothers on FOX, called, “Anamainiacs.”
One of the short cartoons, within the half hour feature, was called, “Good Idea, Bad Idea.”
Sometimes we find the world’s dumbest criminals on the internet and in the news.
They would fall into a category which would fit great into the cartoon. Recently, a man walked into the New York Police Department inside a Bronx location and found himself with his gun up against about ten police officers with their guns.
Now, this sounds like a bad idea from the beginning, but TV and radio announcers could not report the news without cracking up.
The surveillance video went viral across the internet and on social media over the weekend. The funny thing was, he thought he was inside a bank.
I know that there are quite a bit of bad drugs out there on the streets, and a person’s mind can be delusional with some of these drugs.
The entire incident took less than 40 seconds to unfold, but watching the video, it makes a person wonder what was he really thinking.
If he was not thinking, then what was he on? It even baffled the cops as to how can somebody be so stupid. But wait, it gets better!
In the video, it shows from the beginning, a man with a yellow hoodie and a ski mask walking into the police station followed by a woman who was not involved with the crime. She remained a safe distance by the door once she realized something was not right with this picture. The lady stood in disbelief with a priceless look on her face as if to say, “Yea you go ahead and do that!”
She claimed she observed just to see what was going to happen as if she didn’t already know.
The guy walks in and lets himself into the booking area of the police station.
Then he takes off his hood and ski mask and pulls a gun on the police ready for the big heist.
There was another criminal getting booked at the time who took off running for cover behind the wall of the stairway.
He was handcuffed and was not a threat to anyone, but he was obviously scared.
At first, it looked like the guy was coming in to bust a friend out of prison, but it was confirmed he really thought he was robbing a bank.
Upon the criminal pulling his gun, another officer comes around with a stun gun and opens fire on him, stunning him to the ground. Other officers came by to assist while they were drawing their guns and ready to open fire, but there was no need. The suspect was apprehended and booked and later released without bail.
It was stated the man, Montey White, age 27, had a long rap sheet with the law.
Prior to the incident, he was charged and booked with six arrests, four were sealed, two were for weapon charges, and rape.
According to the New York Post, while White was getting apprehended, he did not say anything, and it seemed like it was an “attempted suicide by cop.”
The charges brought against him were criminal possession of weapons, menacing police officers, and obstruction of government administration.
Officers were very angry at the fact White was released on his own recognizance.
Prosecutors from the Bronx District Attorney office of Darcel Clark pushed for the suspect’s release without bail. One police officer told The Post, “Darcel Clark is the worst prosecutor in the world. What if he had two guns? He could have shot cops up.” T
he Bronx District Attorney’s office refused to release a statement to reporters as to why a criminal with such a long rap sheet and history with the law, be released without bail. White is set to appear in court on July 16 of this year for this incident.
It is amazing how someone can get away with so much, including so many felonies.
Many criminals with long rap sheets commit their crimes due to jail life is all they know. My guess would be because they want the free shelter, free food, free health care, and no bills to pay lifestyle.
Either way, this would definitely fall on the “Bad Idea” side of the cartoon.
Even wanting to go back to jail, robbing a police station is only a suicide mission.
